Bianca Brown

Bianca Brown is a rising second-year law student at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she is pursuing a Juris Doctor with a focus on civil rights, education law, and children's rights advocacy. A graduate of DePaul University's College of Education, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, Bianca brings to her legal studies a deep commitment to justice rooted in years of direct service to marginalized communities.

Before law school, Bianca worked as a Site Coordinator with Chicago HOPES for Kids, where she led educational programs for students experiencing homelessness and advocated for their legal rights under the McKinney-Vento Act. That experience, sitting at the intersection of poverty, race, and access to education, solidified her conviction that the law must be a tool for those most often left out of it.

At Loyola Law, Bianca serves as a Civitas ChildLaw Fellow and is an active member of the Education Law and Policy group. This year, she will serve as Secretary of the Black Law Student Association. This summer, she is completing an internship with Legal Aid Chicago in the Family and Children Practice Group, where she is gaining firsthand experience advocating for families and children navigating the legal system.

As a recipient of the Breonna Taylor and Kenneth Walker Civil Rights Scholarship, Bianca is honored to carry forward a legacy that demands accountability, dignity, and justice. She is committed to building a practice that centers the communities most harmed by systemic inequity and to ensuring that the law lives up to its highest promise.
