Tamara Mosby

Hon. Tamara T. Mosby serves as a Judge of the County Court for Nebraska’s Fourth Judicial District in Douglas County. Prior to her appointment, she built a respected career centered on criminal defense and trial advocacy, serving as an Assistant Public Defender where she represented individuals facing serious charges and safeguarded their constitutional rights. She also maintained a solo practice and previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn, along with practicing as a trial attorney in New York, giving her a well-rounded perspective across the justice system. Judge Mosby is active in the legal community through leadership and mentorship, including service with the Robert M. Spire Inn of Court and local bar associations. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, magna cum laude, from Xavier University of Louisiana. She is a Fellow of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation, recognized for her integrity, leadership, and commitment to justice.
