Ramatu Kandakai is an experienced marketer with over ten years of experience in Tech, Consulting, Non-Profit, and Consumer Packaged Goods. She has held marketing positions at notable companies like SC Johnson, Ernst & Young, Korn Ferry, and more. Her diverse experience along with her MBA from Johns Hopkins University guided her to hone in on brand strategy and establish a personal branding agency, Tutu Brand Strategies LLC, in 2020.

In her recent roles as the Brand Strategy Manager at Humana and a Marketing Advisor for the University of Chicago's Duality Accelerator Program, she focuses on the power of brand equity to accelerate growth.

She has made significant contributions to marketing and brand strategy, recognized at conferences like the Marketing and Communications Summit (MAC) and Marketing for the Culture (MFTC), as well as through speaking engagements at Twitch, Northwestern, Association of National Advertisers (ANA), and Latinas in Tech and more.

As an advocate for education, she partnered with Johns Hopkins University to teach “The Psychology of Personal Brands in Media’ during the summer '2024. Furthermore, she actively contributes to her community through appearances on podcasts like Black Business Matters, demonstrating her dedication to uplifting marginalized voices and fostering inclusive growth.
