Emily Winfield is the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Forescout Technologies, Inc., a global cybersecurity company with 1,000+ employees and worldwide operations. Over her more than 15+ year career, she has established a reputation as a collaborative leader and trusted legal advisor, relied upon by corporate boards, executives, and teams across industries to provide business-focused legal guidance. Prior to joining Forescout, Emily served as General Counsel to Keeper Security, Inc., a cybersecurity company with 1+ million customers in more than 100 countries. Before going in-house, Emily held roles at Am Law 100 firms Duane Morris, Bryan Cave, and Winston & Strawn in Chicago. She represented and counseled Fortune 500 multinationals and world-recognized brands on corporate transactions, IP litigation, and commercial disputes. In addition, Emily is an experienced adjunct professor of law, teaching courses in animal law, and legal writing, and previously served as the Associate Director of the DePaul Center for Animal Law. 

Emily earned her JD from the University of Iowa College of Law, and her BA in English, cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois. Prior to attending law school, Emily served two years with Teach for America as a high school biology teacher in Chicago.
