Millie Hernandez is a proud first-generation Latina and a rising 3L at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California. She is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor with a focus on Labor, Employment, and Education Law. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where she triple majored in Political Science, Legal Studies, and Ethnic Studies.

Before beginning law school, she worked with the bridges Multicultural Resource Center, an organization dedicated to supporting the recruitment and retention of first generation, low-income, students of color. In this role, she helped foster inclusive campus spaces and developed community centered programming aimed at expanding access to higher education for historically marginalized students. This work deepened her passion for educational equity and affirmed her commitment to creating systemic change through legal and policy reform.

At McGeorge, she continues to be deeply involved in efforts that center equity, community, and academic excellence. She currently serves as Co President of the Womxn of Color Collective (WOCC) and as Fundraising Chair for the Latinx Law Student Association (LLSA). She is a member of Moot Court, and serves as an Academic Success Fellow, mentoring and supporting 1L students during their first semester. She was also recently selected to join the Kennedy Inn of Court, a professional organization that brings together judges, lawyers, and law students to promote mentorship and excellence in legal practice.

Her academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of education law, labor rights, and employment equity. She is passionate about using the law as a tool for structural change and aims to advocate for workers and underserved students through both policy and community-based solutions. She is a proud Dell Scholar and a LEAP Fellow, part of the Legal Education Access Pipeline Fellowship, which supports first-generation and underrepresented students pursuing careers in law and public service.

In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, boxing, and walking her spirited 3-year-old French Bulldog, Brisa.
